House Democrat’s Confusion Goes Beyond ‘Korea/Crimea’ Gaffe

Maxine Moore Waters is one of many triggered Leftists struggling to accept the fact that they now reside in Trump’s America. She also happens to be an elected member of Congress, which makes her babbling outbursts slightly more newsworthy than your average Liberal thumbsucker.

Following an impressively incoherent video clip wherein Waters said of the democratically elected president, “My greatest desire is to lead him right into impeachment,” she went before even more TV cameras to expound upon her rationale for wanting impeachment:

“How can a president, who is acting in the manner that he is acting, whether he is talking about the travel ban, the way he is talking in Muslims, or whether he’s talking about his relationship to Putin and the Kremlin—and knowing that they have hacked our DCCC and DNC, and knowing that he is responsible for supplying the bombs that killed innocent children and families in um, in um….yeah, in Aleppo—and the fact that he is wrapping his arms around Putin while Putin is continuing to advance into Korea?”

Let us give Waters the benefit of the doubt and pretend she knows the difference between Korea and Crimea (it’s actually pretty obvious in the video that she doesn’t). The gaffe is the least revelatory part of her comments. It’s the Leftist prattle—and her inability to clearly articulate anything that would assure listeners that she lives in reality—that is most disturbing. To recap, Waters believes Trump ought to be impeached, because he is:

  1. acting the way he is acting
  2. talking about a travel ban
  3. talking about Muslims
  4. talking about his relationship with a world leader, and
  5. “wrapping his arms around” (but not literally because they’ve never met) said world leader despite said world leader’s invasion of (one would assume South because we’d celebrate if it were North) Korea

It doesn’t take 26 years in public office for someone to know that a sitting member of Congress can’t make such brazen statements without citing evidence of wrongdoing, which is why the quarter-centurian Congresswoman went on to say this:

“I think that he is leading himself into that kind of position where folks will begin to ask, ‘What are we going to do?’ and the answer is going to be, eventually, ‘We’ve got to do something about him.’ We can’t continue to have a president who is acting in this manner. It is dangerous to the United States of America.”

Let me break this down into seven simple steps that any corn-fed all-American idiot can understand, because it really is quite complex:

  1. Congresswoman desires Trump impeachment
  2. because Trump is “leading himself” (contrary to some Leftist conspiracies)
  3. into a position where people will ask:
  4. “What are we going to do?”
  5. and to which the answer will be
  6. “We’ve got to do something”
  7. and the assumed answer to that “something” is, of course, impeachment

It’s unfortunate that this woman has been elected to Congress every year since 1990. It says as much about her constituents and her party in particular as it does about our politics in general. The good news is, dumb though she may sound, at least Waters attempted to hide her blind partisanship by coming up with a reason for impeachment this time that was different than the last time she called for impeachment of a Republican president.

  1. It would seem that amidst the mass hysteria and rhetoric skills that concepts like basic geography have escaped those in the disenfranchised left.

It must be nice to be able to escape from reality and use anything pulled from the ether as the basis of your argument of “high platform”.
